This tiny house is considered an off-grid glamping experience equipped with the luxury of a queen-size memory foam mattress for a good night’s sleep. The Step is a secluded vacation getaway where you can explore the property’s farmland, show off your scrabble skills, gaze at the stars, and be woken up by the sun through your windows.
The Step is a 168 square foot, quaint and cozy, A-frame cabin building located on a farm. The tiny space holds a queen-size bed and a little nook for you to sit at and eat, play a plethora of games or read a book. The vacation home has an outside sitting area or kitchen with a picnic table, grill, some chairs, firewood, and a fire pit in the middle. The tiny home’s bathroom or outhouse is 62 square feet located separately from The Step (about 20 feet away from the tiny cabin). You’ll want to note that the outhouse does not have running water, and there is no shower and no plumbing. Inside the cabin, there is a propane heater. The cabin is stocked with extra toiletries, a water dispenser, and sanitizing agents. The town of Montgomery is a 3-minute drive from The Step where you can grab some great local food and drinks. During your vacation stay, you can relax and reconnect with nature. Download a movie to watch, kick your feet up and munch on some cereal in the cabin.
During your vacation stay, you are free to explore the entire 78-acre operating farm. The farm has cows, chickens, and goats. You can test out your fishing skills in the two large ponds located in the front of the farm or the Wallkill River located at the bottom of the farm. The Step is heated by a propane heating system and the owners ask that you read the instructions, safety, and warning manuals before operating. You’ll want to be aware that this site does not contain running water and is powered by a gas generator that you will be provided instructions for in operating. For your bathroom needs, you will find an outhouse that will be stocked with toiletries. The heater warms up the cabin quickly, whereas it’s nice and cozy. The cozy cabin has a plethora of blankets for you to snuggle with.
