Take a look inside this riverside retreat located just outside of Hot Springs, North Carolina. The 1,500-square-foot cabin has 2 bedrooms, 2 beds, 2 bathrooms, and sleeps up to 6 people. The cabin has a covered porch, recently added fiber optic cable wifi, and so much more. The riverside cabin is constructed from reclaimed building materials by the owner featuring two bedrooms and two full baths with deluxe showers. The cabin is located 6 miles (3 of the six miles are gravel) from the Appalachian Trail town of Hot Springs, North Carolina, and a 45-minute drive from Asheville North Carolina. It’s perfect for a relaxing getaway and equally great for the outdoor enthusiast. During your vacation stay, you can sit on the porch and watch the river flow by. Build a campfire and roast some marshmallows, maybe even pitch a tent. Put on your hiking shoes and enjoy some of the many nearby trails.
The French Broad River works great for kayaks, canoes, tubes, and rafts. Put in up river and get out right at your cabin. The owners are told by local fishermen that the property has one of the best fishing spots on the river. Also, just down the road is a premier trout fishing creek located in the Paint Creek Corridor. The cabin close to mountain bike trails is a world-class trout fishing stream, hiking, or backpacking. This is a bird watcher’s paradise. You may catch a glimpse of the resident bald eagle that frequently circles overhead or hear the geese honking as they fly up and down the river in formation. Pull out your bicycle and ride a 24-mile loop from Paint Creek to Hot Springs or a shorter 12-mile loop through Paint Creek Corridor and back. One of the greatest features to enjoy is the large, beautiful wrap around porch and the private upper veranda
On the main level, you enter from a covered carport into an open concept, full kitchen/living/dining area with a table and room to sit at the bar. The living room has a leather sectional, wood beams, and a fireplace with a stone profile and wood stove insert to add to the cozy feel of the cabin. The bedroom on the main level has a walk-in closet and king size bed. The main level bathroom is large with a washer and dryer, a large tile shower, and an exit to wrap around a covered porch that is 750 square feet and has multiple doors for entry/exit convenience.
Upstairs, there is a master suite with a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with french doors leading to a private covered veranda overlooking the river. Hear the sounds of the rushing river and bask in the afternoon sun in private. The owners hope you can come to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful spot surrounded by the Pisgah and Cherokee National Forest and the French Broad River. The location is just six miles out of Hot Springs with the last three miles to the cabin being on a gravel road.
